UBGROUPSG security measures
Keep UBGROUPSG Pulse updated so you receive the latest security enhancements and important banking notifications.
A 12-hour cooling period applies to selected high-risk changes, including contact-detail updates, new Digital Token activation, transfer-limit increases and adding payees.
Selected transactions identified by enhanced real-time fraud surveillance may be held for at least 24 hours, giving customers time to review suspicious activity.
Eligible scam- and fraud-prevention calls from UBGROUPSG can be authenticated through a UBGROUPSG Pulse push notification and Digital Token confirmation.
Contact-detail protection
When changing an email address or mobile number in UBGROUPSG Pulse, enter the six-digit verification code sent to the new contact detail, then authorise with Digital Token.
Some banking services and transactions may be temporarily restricted during the cooling period to reduce the risk of unauthorised activity.
Fraud surveillance
UBGROUPSG applies real-time detection measures aligned with the MAS and IMDA Shared Responsibility Framework to identify suspicious transaction patterns.
If an eligible transaction is held, review the details carefully and contact UBGROUPSG immediately if it was not authorised.
Things you should know

Never share your username, password, PIN, Digital Token code or one-time password—even with someone claiming to represent the bank.
Check recipient names, amounts and transaction notifications promptly. Report anything unfamiliar immediately.
Use current operating-system and app versions, secure your device with a screen lock and avoid installing applications from unknown sources.
From 6 June 2026, PayNow nicknames are replaced by masked registered account names as an industry measure against impersonation scams.
Stop communicating with the suspected scammer, do not approve further transactions, secure your digital banking access and call UBGROUPSG’s 24-hour hotline at 1800 222 2121. Make a police report where appropriate.
Never share passwords, PINs, OTPs or card details.
